1st-NO one supporting this site is a health-care professional. Not the site owner nor anyone contributing information or support. If by coincidence anyone does work in the health-care fields, they are NOT acting here in that capacity. This site primarily provides moral support for those fighting breast cancer or any other form of cancer, as well.
2nd-The other purpose of this site is to provide information that the site user may not have come in contact with elsewhere. The purpose of any information found on this site is to inform patients and their regular health-care providers of possible therapies that might be used in conjunction with their current treatment. NO information here is meant in any way to sub-vent any treatment plan already used by any patient. No one supplying information to this site is authorized to suggest or intimate in any way that any one change the treatments recommended by any site user’s health-care provider or usual method of treatment(s) they are currently under going. The articles on this site are meant as a stimulus for patients to discuss with their own local support systems and health-care professionals before implementing any of them.
Many forms of complementary therapies can have negative effects when combined with other forms of treatment. Even seemingly benign therapies should be discussed with your health-care professional before instituting or implementing any of the therapies discussed in any of the articles here.

For example, the post on the inappropriateness of sexual humor in national and international campaigns may have an Amazon link to several humorous movies. (As we feel that would be a more effective use of humor in deflecting the depression cancer can bring on). We would receive a small commission if anyone where to purchase a product through any of those links. Generally, 4-6½% is the current range of rate, so it would not be much at all, (unless we tried to link to a one million dollar diamond ring). Income is not the purpose of this site and any money it does make will be used to: A – extend the domain and hosting and, B – outsource research, writing and anything else that comes up that would be beneficial to site users, (such as audio production). If a ‘Donate’ button is ever added to the ‘About’ page, that income would be used for the same purposes. In the unlikely event income exceeds the needs (and desires) of this site’s users, any extra would be donated to a breast cancer research or survivor organization that has a low administration cost. (Most likely ‘The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden‘).

So, To reiterate, Please do not implement any therapies described here without consulting your health-care professional to make sure none of these therapies will conflict with any therapies you are already on.
In Any case, a positive attitude, a love of life and not focusing on the negative aspects of this disease will greatly improve your odds of successfully beating this disease and improve your quality of life while you battle it. DO NOT allow this disease to define you; you are who you are with or without this disease. Cancer is obviously a serious concern and should not be treated lightly, but a complete focus on the devastation that is possible with cancer does not improve anyone’s chances of beating it.
