These articles are about COMPLEMENTARY therapies and are NOT to be used in place of prescribed treatment from health-care professionals, but rather as an opening for dialogue with your health-care professional and those closest to you about the pros and cons of adding any given suggestion into your program of recovery. See the Disclosure page for more in depth information.

This website has no agenda, either financial or moral about attempting to change the manner you handle your disease. We are merely here as a function of support.
~
We want you to know you are not alone. Many have suffered the ravenous nature of this disease, either themselves or watching a loved one or co-worker go through it. Our intent is to try to partially provide what is information that we have learned and found by experience that has been of help to us and we want to make it available to all.
~
Our intent is to have articles on various things that can help ease the pain, both physical, emotional and mental that can be brought on by both this disease and the treatments needed to beat it. We also intent to have a forum for more interactive support. It is important to note, that IF anyone should advocate any action without consulting both your health-care professional and those closest to you, they do so without the permission of this site and will not be allowed further ability to inter-act directly with people utilizing this site.

If you would like to write a ‘guest post’ or article, email me at Mark (at) discerningimage (dot) com
Posts/articles must be info only, agenda free. They can contain links to relevant web pages. At least one image is encouraged, or I will ad an image of a flower to the post/article. If you have been through breast cancer and think your story can help others, ‘our stories’ is a category. If a category is not made for what you write, we’ll just make a new one. No ads on the site. A purely philanthropic endeavor.
If you are a decent writer and want to help, researching an aspect of a complementary therapy, such as a craft, a supplement, treatment, or any thing that would serve as a starting point for a patient to discuss with their doctor and local support group, (family, friends and/or co-workers, as well as other medical professionals), is a great way to get involved.
